Larbsoft ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our apps handle user data, including photos, image processing, and any related information.
By using our apps, you agree to the terms described here.
1. Information We Collect
Our apps do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details.
When using the app, you may choose to upload or capture images for editing purposes. These images are processed either:
- Locally on your device, or
- Temporarily on secure third-party servers (only when you enable "Pro" features that require cloud-based AI processing).
We do not store, analyze, or collect any biometric or face data.
2. Image Processing and Face Data
Our apps may allow users to upload or capture photos for editing purposes (such as removing objects, people, backgrounds, text, or blemishes).
All standard features (such as object removal, background removal, skin smoothing, and enhancement) use on-device machine learning models, including:
- LaMa Inpainting
- RMBG 1.4 (background remover)
- Real-ESRGAN (enhancement and upscaling)
These processes occur entirely on your device using Apple frameworks and embedded models. No data leaves your device during local processing.
When you activate the Pro Remover feature, your selected image is securely sent to Replicate.com for processing using the Bria Erase AI model.
- The image is transmitted over HTTPS directly to Replicate.
- Replicate temporarily stores the image only to perform the requested edit.
- All input and output data are automatically deleted within 24 hours by Replicate.
- Larbsoft does not retain or access these images.
Our apps do not perform facial recognition, biometric identification, or any tracking of users. No facial landmarks, embeddings, or other identifiers are extracted or stored.
3. Data Retention
- On-device processing: No data is stored or transmitted.
- Pro Remover (cloud processing): Temporary processing only; deleted by the third-party provider within 24 hours.
- Larbsoft does not store or retain any image data after processing.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
The only time an image is shared is when you explicitly use the Pro Remover feature, in which case it is securely transmitted to Replicate.com for short-term processing.
Replicate acts as a data processor, not a data controller, and deletes data within 24 hours.
We may share anonymized, non-personal analytics data (such as feature usage counts or error logs) to improve app performance. These metrics contain no image or personal data.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect all data transmissions.
All connections to external services are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
No unencrypted data is transmitted, and all local processing remains sandboxed within your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Our apps are not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
7. Your Rights
You can delete any app at any time to remove all locally stored data.
Because our apps do not collect or store any user data on our servers, there is nothing further to delete or request from Larbsoft.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be reflected with a new "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
