PixVault is developed and operated by Larbsoft ("we", "our", or "us").
Your privacy is central to the design of PixVault. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. Overview
PixVault is designed to store sensitive content locally on your device while minimizing data collection.
PixVault:
- Does not require user accounts
- Does not upload vault content to our servers
- Does not include advertising SDKs
- Does not perform cross-app tracking
- Stores vault data locally on your device
All vault content remains under your control.
2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information
PixVault does not collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Contacts
- Photos (outside user-selected imports)
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Biometric data
No user account is required to use the app.
B. Vault Content
Files, images, videos, and documents stored in PixVault:
- Are stored locally on your device
- Are not transmitted to Larbsoft
- Are not backed up to our servers
- Are not accessible by us
Vault data is protected by iOS system security and app sandboxing.
We cannot access, recover, or restore vault content. If the app is deleted, stored content may be permanently removed depending on your device settings.
C. Private Browser Data
PixVault includes a private web browser designed for enhanced privacy.
The browser:
- Uses non-persistent data storage
- Does not store cookies to disk
- Does not save browsing history
- Does not retain cached website data after session reset
- Blocks many ads and tracking scripts where possible
Websites you visit may collect information according to their own privacy policies. Larbsoft has no control over third-party website data practices.
D. Downloads
When downloading files through the private browser:
- Files are downloaded directly between your device and the destination website
- No file data is transmitted to Larbsoft
- Download history is stored locally on your device
3. Analytics
PixVault uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand general app usage and improve stability and performance.
TelemetryDeck collects anonymous usage data such as:
- App version
- Device model
- Operating system version
- General feature usage (e.g., screen views, button interactions)
- Performance and stability metrics
This data:
- Does not include vault content
- Does not include browsing history
- Does not include downloaded files
- Does not include personal identifiers
- Is not linked to your identity
- Is not used for advertising
- Is not used for cross-app tracking
TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-respecting and GDPR-compliant.
4. Payments & Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription:
- Payments are processed by Apple
- We do not receive your payment details
- We only receive anonymous transaction confirmation from Apple

5. Data Storage & Security
PixVault relies on:
- iOS app sandboxing
- On-device storage protections
- Optional auto-lock security
- Lock on minimize
- Decoy vault functionality
All vault data remains stored locally within the iOS application container.
6. Tracking
PixVault:
- Does not use advertising identifiers
- Does not use fingerprinting techniques
- Does not track users across other apps or websites
- Does not share data with data brokers
7. Children's Privacy
PixVault is not directed toward children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Third-Party Websites
The private browser allows access to external websites.
These websites operate independently and may collect data under their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
9. Data Retention
Because PixVault does not collect or store personal data on our servers:
- There is no remote user data to retain or delete
- All stored vault content remains solely on your device
Analytics data collected through TelemetryDeck is anonymous and retained only as necessary for product improvement.
10. Data Deletion
To remove vault content, delete it directly within the app.
To remove all app data, delete the application from your device.
Since we do not store user data on external servers, we cannot restore deleted content.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if app features change.
The latest version will always be posted with an updated revision date.
